दक्षिण कोरिया में रविवार को बड़ा विमान हादसा हो गया। दक्षिण कोरिया के मुआन अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे पर एक विमान रनवे से फिसल गया। इस हादसे में 120 लोगों की मौत की पुष्टि अभी हुई है, वहीं अभी मरने वालों की संख्या बढ़ सकती है। बचाव-राहत कार्य जारी है और घायल यात्रियों को अस्पताल में भर्ती किया गया है।

बताया जा रहा है कि यह विमान थाईलैंड से लौट रहा था। दक्षिण कोरिया के मुआन जब यह विमान एयरपोर्ट पर उतर रहा था। इस दौरान रनवे पर फिसल गया और एक दीवार से जा टकराया। इसके चलते विमान में आग लग गई।

कोरिया टाइम्स के अनुसार, 173 कोरियाई, दो थाई यात्री और छह चालक दल के सदस्य जेजू एयर की उड़ान में सवार थे, जो थाईलैंड से सुबह 1 बजकर 30 मिनट पर रवाना हुई थी और सुबह 8 बजकर 30 मिनट पर हवाई अड्डे पर उतरनी थी।

जानकारी के अनुसार, विमान ने शुरू में लैंडिंग का प्रयास किया, लेकिन वह नहीं उतर सका। इसके बाद यह हवाई अड्डे के चक्कर लगाता रहा और फिर से उतरने का प्रयास किया, लेकिन रनवे पर फिसल गया। इसके बाद विमान रनवे के अंत में दीवार से टकरा गया और उसमें आग लग गई। दुर्घटना के 43 मिनट बाद आग को बुझाया गया।
