हैदराबाद के स्टेडियम से हटेगा पूर्व भारतीय कप्तान के नाम का स्टैंड

आईपीएल 2025 के बीच भारतीय टीम के पूर्व कप्तान मोहम्मद अजहरुद्दीन को लेकर एक बड़ी खबर सामने आ रही हैं। हैदराबाद के उप्पल स्थित राजीव गांधी क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में नॉर्थ पवेलियन स्टैंड से अब मोहम्मद अजहरुद्दीन का नाम हटाया जाएगा।

हैदराबाद क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन (HCA) को ये आदेश दिया गया। सिर्फ इतना ही नहीं, HCA को यह भी निर्देश दिया गया है कि अब से अजहरुद्दीन के नाम पर कोई भी टिकट जारी न किया जाए।

यह आदेश हैदराबाद क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन के एथिक्स ऑफिसर और लोकपाल जस्टिस वी. ईश्वरैया ने शनिवार को जारी किया। यह फैसला लॉर्ड्स क्रिकेट क्लब के दायर याचिका पर आया, जिसमें अजहरुद्दीन पर हितों के टकराव का आरोप लगाया गया था।

क्रिकबज की एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, मोहम्मद अजहरुद्दीन का नाम स्टेडियम के स्टैंड से हटाने का फैसला “कॉन्फ्लिक्ट ऑफ इंटरेस्ट” (हितों के टकराव) के आधार पर लिया गया है। बता दें कि अजहरुद्दीन साल 2019 में हैदराबाद क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन (HCA) के अध्यक्ष थे और उसी साल हुई एपेक्स काउंसिल की एक बैठक में यह निर्णय लिया गया था कि राजीव गांधी इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट स्टेडियम के नॉर्थ पवेलियन स्टैंड का नाम “वीवीएस लक्ष्मण पवेलियन” से बदलकर “मोहम्मद अजहरुद्दीन स्टैंड” रखा जाएगा।

हालांकि, इस साल 28 फरवरी को हैदराबाद के लॉर्ड्स क्रिकेट क्लब (LCC) की ओर से एक शिकायत दर्ज की गई। शिकायत में उन्होंने यह दावा किया कि यह फैसला नियम 38 का उल्लंघन है, जिसके तहत काउंसिल का कोई भी सदस्य अपने पक्ष में कोई फैसला नहीं ले सकता। इसलिए, यह स्पष्ट रूप से हितों का टकराव (Conflict of Interest) है।

लॉड्स क्रिकट क्लब की याचिका में अनुरोध किया गया था कि नॉर्थ स्टैंड को फिर से वीवीएस लक्ष्मण स्टैंड के रूप में स्थापित किया जाए और सभी साइनबोर्ड, टिक प्रिटिंग आदि में भी यही नाम का इस्तेमाल किया जाए। अब HCA को ये सुनिश्चित करना होगा कि भविष्य में किसी भी टिकट या साइनबोर्ड पर “मोहम्मद अजहरुद्दीन स्टैंड” ना छपा हो।
