अल्मोड़ा : हाथी चढ़े पहाड़, जमकर की फसल बर्बाद

स्थानीय लोगों के मुताबिक शुक्रवार की रात हाथियों का झुंड गांव में घुस गया। ग्राम प्रधान दीपक उनियाल ने बताया कि गांव के अन्य तोक बन्द्राण बिष्ट, अमोड़ी , चौड़ में भी हाथियों ने फसल रौंद दी है।

महिलाएं अकेले जंगल नहीं जा पा रहीं हैं और बच्चों को भी अकेले स्कूल भेजने में डर लग रहा है। हाथियों की नियमित सक्रियता के चलते क्षेत्र के लोग शाम होते ही घरों में दुबकने के लिए मजबूर हैं। उन्होंने वन विभाग से हाथियों के आतंक से निजात दिलाने की मांग की है।
