पूर्व विधायक को 10 साल की सजा: दोषी करार होते ही लगाई गुहार

विशेष न्यायाधीश एमपी/एमएलए अवनीश गौतम की अदालत ने बुधवार को पूर्व विधायक उदयभान सिंह उर्फ डॉक्टर को गिरोहबंद और समाजविरोधी क्रियाकलापों का दोषी माना है। पूर्व विधायक को 10 वर्ष के कारावास व एक लाख रुपये के जुर्माने से दंडित किया है। अदालत ने कहा कि अभियुक्त ने जेल में जो सजा इस मामले में व्यतीत की है, वह इसमें समाहित की जाएगी।

मिर्जापुर के चील्ह ब्लाॅक के सेमरा गांव निवासी पूर्व विधायक उदयभान सिंह को 18 साल वर्ष पुराने गैंगस्टर के मामले में सजा सुनाई गई है। सेंट्रल जेल में 13 मई 2005 को अनुराग त्रिपाठी उर्फ अन्नू की हत्या के मामले में अभियुक्त पूर्व विधायक उदयभान सिंह पर 13 जुलाई 2005 को तत्कालीन शिवपुर थानाध्यक्ष ने 10 मुकदमों का जिक्र करते हुए गैंगेस्टर का मुकदमा दर्ज कराया था। 

एडीजीसी विनय कुमार सिंह ने बताया कि मुकदमे के अनुसार विनीत सिंह के गैंग में उदयभान सिंह, संतोष उर्फ किट्टू और प्रदीप उफ सीओ शामिल हैं। इनके आतंक व दुस्साहस से इनके खिलाफ कोई भी बयान देने से कतराता था। विनीत और उदयभान की साजिश से जेल में अनुराग त्रिपाठी उर्फ अन्नू की हत्या करा दी गई। 

इसके पहले अन्नू पर पेशी से नैनी जेल जाते हुए भी जानलेवा हमला हुआ था, जिसमें सरकारी चालक की मौत हो गई थी। गैंग चार्ट में गोपीगंज में हुए तिहरे हत्याकांड का भी जिक्र किया गया। इस मामले में गवाहों के बयान और साक्ष्यों के आधार पर विशेष न्यायाधीश एमपी/एमएलए अवनीश गौतम की अदालत ने उसे दोषी करार दिया।

दोषी करार होते ही बोला, बूढ़ा हूं कम सजा मिले

गैंगस्टर के इस मुकदमे में उदयभान सिंह का बयान 10 अगस्त 2023 को दर्ज कराया गया था। तब उसने कहा था कि राजनीतिक विद्वेश में फर्जी मुकदमा दर्ज कराया गया था। मैं निर्दोष हूं। मगर, बुधवार को अदालत में दोषी करार होते ही वह गिड़गिड़ाने लगा और बोला, मैं पहले ही 10 वर्ष से अधिक समय तक जेल में रह चुका हूं। बूढ़ा हूं और घर का इकलौता कमाऊ सदस्य हूं। मुझे कम से कम सजा मिले।

अदालत बोली, अपराध से समाज में फैलता है आतंक
सजा सुनाने से पहले अदालत ने कहा कि अभियुक्त का गिरोह है। वह अपराध करता है और भौतिक व अन्य लाभ अर्जित करता है। समाज ममें आतंक फैलाता है। तथ्यों और परिस्थितियों को देखते हुए इस मामले में यूपी गिरोहबंद एवं समाजविरोधी क्रियाकलाप निवारण अधिनियम दोष सिद्ध किए जाने योग्य है।

आजीवन कारावास के बाद चली गई थी विधानसभा की सदस्यता
गोपीगंज-मिर्जापुर तिराहे पर चार अप्रैल 1999 को सूर्यनारायण उर्फ वकील शुक्ल, देवीशंकर दूबे और शेषमणि दूबे की हत्या की गई थी। इस मामले में पूर्व विधायक उदयभान सिंह सहित पांच लोगों के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया था। घटना के बाद उदयभान फरार हो गया था।

वर्ष 2001 में अदालत में हाजिर हाेने के बाद 2002 में जेल से ही औराई विधानसभा सीट से बसपा के सिंबल पर उसने चुनाव जीता था। वर्ष 2004 में तिहरे हत्याकांड में जिला जज की अदालत से आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाए जाने के बाद उदयभान की विधानसभा की सदस्यता चली गई थी। इसके बाद हुए उपचुनाव में बसपा ने इस सीट पर रंगनाथ मिश्रा को उतारा। सपा से उनकी पत्नी चुनाव लड़ीं और जीतीं।
