भारत-पाकिस्तान के बीच तनाव के कारण आईपीएल 2025 के मैच को एक हफ्ते के लिए स्थगित कर दिया गया है। इस फैसले के बाद सभी खिलाड़ी अपने-अपने घर लौट रहे हैं। इस बीच बीसीसीआई को इंग्लैंड और वेल्स क्रिकेट बोर्ड ने एक खास ऑफर दिया है। उन्होंने टूर्नामेंट के बचे हुए मैच को इंग्लैंड में होस्ट कराने की बीसीसीआई को बात कही।

शुक्रवार को ECB के चीफ एक्सिक्यूटिव रिचार्ड गोल्ड ने ये कंफर्म किया था कि अगर भारत को हमारी कोई जरूरत है तो हम उसके लिए तैयार हैं। बता दें कि बीसीसीआई पहले भारत में ही बाकी बचे हुए 16 मैच को कराना चाहता है, अगर सुरक्षा ठीक रही तो, लेकिन ईसीबी ने कहा है कि वह मेजबानी के लिए तैयार हैं, जब भी उनसे पूछा जाए तो वह हां कहेंगे।

ईसीबी के चीफ एग्जीक्यूटिव रिचर्ड गोल्ड ने कहा कि वे बीसीसीआई की मदद करेंगे। आईपीएल को अभी एक हफ्ते के लिए रोका गया है। ऐसा 10 टीमों, ब्रॉडकास्टर और फैंस से बात करने के बाद किया गया है। सभी को खिलाड़ियों की सुरक्षा की चिंता थी। इंग्लैंड के पूर्व कप्तान माइकल वॉन ने सुझाव दिया है कि आईपीएल को इंग्लैंड में ही पूरा कर लिया जाए। इससे भारतीय खिलाड़ी इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ टेस्ट सीरीज के लिए वहीं रुक सकते हैं।

ईसीबी के मुख्य कार्यकारी रिचर्ड गोल्ड ने आगे कहा कि क्या भारत इस सप्ताह भर के अंतराल के बाद आईपीएल को फिर से शुरू करने में असमर्थ है, एक सुझाव यह है कि इंग्लैंड में टूर्नामेंट के बाकी मैचों की मेजबानी साल के अंत में कर लें। इसमें कहा गया है कि ईसीबी के एक वरिष्ठ सूत्र ने पुष्टि की है कि यह सितंबर में ये संभव हो सकता है।

इससे पहले ये जानकारी सामने आई कि बीसीसीआई द्वारा आईपीएल 2025 को दुबई में शिफ्ट कराने के लिए यूएई से बात की जा रही है। वहीं, पीएसएल 2025 को स्थगित करने के बाद मौजूदा सीजन में बचे हुए 8 मैचों को पीसीबी यूएई में कराना चाहता था, लेकिन पाकिस्तान की इस रिक्वेस्ट को यूएई ने इनकार कर दिया है।

ECB ने भारत-पाकिस्तान तनाव के चलते उत्पन्न होने वाली सुरक्षा चिंताओं का हवाला देते हुए मेजबानी की मंजूरी नहीं दी। हालांकि, ऐसे में हो सकता है कि आईपीएल के बचे हुए मैच दुबई में खेले जाए।
