सरदार पटेल की 142वीं जयंती एवं इंदिरा गांधी की 33वीं पुण्यतिथि आज

नई दिल्ली 31 अक्टूबर।राष्ट्र आज सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल की 142वीं जयंती पर राष्ट्रीय एकता दिवस मना रहा है।पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी की आज ही 33 वीं पुण्यतिथि हैं.जिस पर उन्हे श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की जा रही है।

सरदार पटेल की जंयती पर देशभर में कई समारोह आयोजित किए जा रहे हैं। प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी दिल्ली में मेजर ध्यान चंद राष्ट्रीय स्टेडियम में आयोजित मुख्य समारोह में शामिल हुए और रन फॉर यूनिटी-एकता दौड़ को रवाना किया।इस अवसर पर प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि राष्ट्र के प्रति सरदार पटेल का योगदान हमेशा याद रहेगा।

श्री मोदी ने कहा कि..सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल साम, दाम, दंड, भेद हर प्रकार की नीति, कूटनीति, रणनीति उसका उपयोग करते हुए बहुत ही कम समय में देश को एकता के सूत्र में बांध दिया। उन्होंने शायद हमारे देश की नयी पीढ़ी को उनसे परिचित ही नहीं करवाया था। एक प्रकार से इतिहास के झरोखे से इस महापुरुष के नाम को या तो मिटा देने का प्रयास हुआ या तो उसको छोटा करने का प्रयास हुआ लेकिन इतिहास गवाह है कि सरदार साहब, सरदार साहब थे। कोई शासन उनको स्वीकृति दे या न दे..।
