पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि गुवाहाटी से न्यू जलपाईगुड़ी तक चलने वाली यह ट्रेन असम और बंगाल के बीच सदियों पुराने संबंधों को और मजबूत करेगी। उन्होंने इस दौरान नए संसद भवन के उद्घाटन का भी जिक्र किया।
