केंद्र का देश के हर जिले में कम से कम एक मेडिकल कॉलेज का लक्ष्य- मोदी

मोहाली 24 अगस्त।प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा है कि केंद्र सरकार देश के हर जिले में कम से कम एक मेडिकल कॉलेज के लक्ष्य पर काम कर रही है।

श्री मोदी ने आज यहां होमी भाभा कैंसर अस्पताल और अनुसंधान केंद्र का उद्घाटन करते हुए कहा कि सरकार ने देश भर में लगभग 40 कैंसर विशिष्ट संस्थानों को मंजूरी दी है, जिनमें से कई अस्पतालों ने सेवाएं प्रदान करना शुरू कर दिया है।उन्होने कहा कि अस्पताल बनाना महत्वपूर्ण है, लेकिन साथ ही पर्याप्त संख्या में अच्छे डॉक्टरों और अन्य पैरामेडिक्स का होना भी उतना ही अहम है।

उन्होने कहा कि मेडिकल कॉलेजों के विस्‍तार का मतलब है कि मेडिकल सीटों की संख्‍या बढी है। मेडिकल की पढाई करने वाले छात्रों के लिए अवसर बढे हैं और देश की सेहत का ध्‍यान रखने वाले हैल्‍थ प्रौफेशनल्‍स की संख्‍या बढी है। यानी हैल्‍थ सैक्‍टर में रोजगार के भी अनेक अवसर इससे तैयार हो रहे हैं। हमारी सरकार ने पांच लाख से ज्‍यादा आयुष डॉक्‍टर्स को भी एलोपैथी डॉक्‍टरों की तरह मान्‍यता दी है। इससे भारत में डॉक्‍टर और मरीजों के बीच अनुपात में भी सुधार हुआ है।

उन्होने बताया कि आयुष्मान भारत ने गरीबों को पांच-पांच लाख रुपये तक का मुफ्त इलाज मुहैया कराया है और इसके परिणामस्वरूप अब तक साढे तीन करोड़ मरीजों का इलाज हो चुका है। श्री मोदी ने कहा कि आज का कार्यक्रम देश की बेहतर स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं को दर्शाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह अस्पताल पंजाब, हरियाणा और हिमाचल प्रदेश के लोगों को सेवाएं प्रदान करेगा।

उन्होने कहा कि जल जीवन मिशन के कारण जल-जनित रोगों से पीड़ित मरीजों की संख्या में काफी कमी आई है। इसी तरह स्वच्छता, योग, फिटनेस, पोषण अभियान, रसोई गैस का इस्‍तेमाल आदि से मरीजों की संख्या कम हो रही है। भारत को एक विकसित राष्ट्र बनाने के बारे में लाल किले की प्राचीर से की गई अपनी उद्घोषणा का उल्लेख करते हुए, प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि भारत को विकसित बनाने के लिए, इसकी स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को विकसित करना भी उतना ही महत्वपूर्ण है।

लगभग 684 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से निर्मित 300 बिस्तरों वाला अत्याधुनिक होमी भाभा कैंसर अस्पताल और अनुसंधान केंद्र राज्य में कैंसर के प्रभावी इलाज को बढ़ावा देगा और यह उत्तर भारत के लोगों को कैंसर के इलाज की सुविधा भी प्रदान करेगा। इस अवसर पर पंजाब के राज्यपाल श्री बनवारीलाल पुरोहित, मुख्यमंत्री श्री भगवंत मान, केन्द्रीय मंत्री डॉ जितेन्द्र सिंह भी उपस्थित थे।

इससे पहले हरियाणा के फरीदाबाद में अमृता अस्‍पताल का उदघाटन करते हुए श्री मोदी ने कहा कि अमृत महोत्‍सव के दौरान देश में समुदाय ने एकजुट होकर प्रयास किए हैं।मॉ अमृतानंदमयी मठ द्वारा संचालित इस सुपर स्पेशिलिटी अस्पताल में 2600 बिस्‍तरों की व्‍यवस्‍था है। अमृता अस्‍पताल करीब छह हजार करोड़ रुपये की अनुमानित लागत से बनाया जा रहा है।
