स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर सुरक्षा बलों के जवान होंगे सम्मानित

नई दिल्ली 14 अगस्त।स्‍वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर सशस्त्र बलों, पुलिस और अर्धसैनिक बलों के कई जवानों को शौर्य अलंकरण से सम्‍मानित किया जाएगा।

राष्‍ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद ने ऐसे 144 अलंकरणों को मंजूरी दी है। इनमें एक अशोक चक्र, एक कीर्ति चक्र, 15 शौर्य चक्र, वीरता के लिए 4 बार टू सेना पदक, 116 सेना पदक, पांच नौसेना पदक और दो वायु सेना पदक शामिल हैं।

जम्मू-कश्मीर पुलिस के एएसआई बाबू राम को मरणोपरांत अशोक चक्र से सम्मानित किया जा रहा है, जबकि जम्मू-कश्मीर पुलिस में ही कांस्टेबल रहे अल्ताफ हुसैन भट को मरणोपरांत कीर्ति चक्र से सम्मानित किया जा रहा है। 15 शौर्य चक्र विजेताओं में से तीन को मरणोपरांत यह सम्मान दिया जा रहा है।

राष्ट्रपति ने विभिन्न सैन्य अभियानों में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देने वाले सैन्‍यकर्मियों के लिए 28 मेंशन-इन-डिस्पैच सम्‍मान को भी मंजूरी दी है।इसमें ‘तीन सैन्‍यकर्मियों को मरणोपरांत ‘ऑपरेशन रक्षक’ सम्‍मान दिया जा रहा है।

इनके अलावा, राष्ट्रपति ने आई.सी.जी. कर्मियों के लिए चार वीरता अलंकरण भी मंजूर किए हैं,जिसमें शौर्य के लिए एक तटरक्षक पदक और विशिष्‍ट सेवाओं के लिए तीन तटरक्षक पदक शामिल हैं।
