कब और कहां रिलीज होगी सुरेश गोपी की फिल्म, विवादों के बीच मिली मंजूरी

केंद्रीय मंत्री सुरेश गोपी स्टारर ‘जानकी बनाम केरल राज्य (जेएसके)’ मामले में बुधवार को केरल उच्च न्यायालय को सूचित किया गया कि फिल्म को 11 जुलाई, 2025 को सेंसर बोर्ड की मंजूरी मिल गई है और अब यह इसी हफ्ते रिलीज होने के लिए तैयार है।

इस दलील के मद्देनजर, न्यायमूर्ति एन नागरेश ने कहा कि याचिकाकर्ता – फिल्म की प्रोडक्शन कंपनी की शिकायत का समाधान हो गया है और उसकी याचिका का निपटारा कर दिया गया है। अदालत ने यह भी कहा कि फिल्म के कंटेंट या उसके पूराने नाम वाले टीजर का इस्तेमाल से याचिकाकर्ता को कानूनी रूप से कोई परेशानी नहीं झेलनी पड़ेगी।

अदालत ने कहा, ‘इस संबंध में याचिकाकर्ता के खिलाफ कोई दावा नहीं किया जा सकता’. फिल्म को सेंसर बोर्ड की मंजूरी तब मिली जब इसके मेकर्स कॉसमॉस एंटरटेनमेंट्स ने फिल्म के नाम को थोड़ा बदलकर जानकी बनाम केरल राज्य कर दिया। फिल्म के कुछ हिस्सों में ‘जानकी’ शब्द को म्यूट कर दिया गया है या उसे बदल दिया गया है।

ये बदलाव केंद्रीय फिल्म प्रमाणन बोर्ड (सीबीएफसी) द्वारा सुझाए गए थे। 9 जुलाई को, फिल्म निर्माताओं ने रिलीज के इतने करीब फिल्म के नाम बदलने में परेशानी बताई लेकिन बोर्ड के ना मानने पर वे इसे बदलने पर राजी हो गए।

क्या था विवाद?
‘जानकी बनाम केरल राज्य’ फिल्म पहले 2 जून को रिलीज होने वाली थी। लेकिन सीबीएफसी से मंजूरी ना मिलने पर मेकर्स को हाई कोर्ट का दरवाजा खटखटाना पड़ा। जिसके बाद सीबीएफसी ने स्पष्ट किया कि उन्हें फिल्म के नाम में सिर्फ जानकी शब्द का इस्तेमाल करने से दिक्कत है क्योंकि यह हिंदू माता सीता का नाम है और इस किरदार को जिस तरह से दिखाया जा रहा है इससे किसी विशेष धर्म के लोगों की आस्था को ठेस पहुंच सकती है।

दरअसल फिल्म में इस कैरेक्टर के साथ दर्दनाक घटनाएं होती हैं और इसे अदालत में भी पेश होना पड़ता है। माता सीता के नाम के किरदार को इस तरह दिखाना और किसी की धार्मिक भावना को ठेस पहुंचा सकता है और सांप्रदायिक तनाव पैदा कर सकता है।

कब और कहां होगी फिल्म रिलीज
सारे विवाद सुलझने के बाद अब ‘जानकी बनाम केरल राज्य’ गुरूवार, 17 जुलाई 2025 को थिएटर्स में रिलीज होने जा रही है। फिल्म में सुरेश गोपी, अनुपमा परमेश्वरन, श्रुति रामचन्द्रन और माधव सुरेश जैसे कलाकार हैं।
