मोदी एवं हसीना ने बंधन एक्सप्रेस को हरी झंडी दिखाकर किया रवाना

नई दिल्ली/ढाका 09नवम्बर।प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी और बांग्लादेश की प्रधानमंत्री शेख हसीना ने कोलकाता और खुलना के बीच सीधी रेल सेवा बंधन एक्सप्रेस का आज वीडियो कांफ्रेंसिंग के जरिए उद्घाटन किया।

पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बैनर्जी भी कोलकाता से उद्घाटन समारोह में शामिल हुईं।कोलकाता-ढाका मैत्री एक्सप्रैस के बाद बंधन एक्स‍प्रैस दोनों देशों के बीच चलने वाली दूसरी रेलगाड़ी होगी।प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने कहा कि जैसे-जैसे संपर्क बढ़ेगे लोगों के बीच आपसी संबंध भी विकसित होंगे और दोनों देशों के आर्थिक विकास को भी गति मिलेगी।

श्री मोदी ने कहा कि..एक्सलेंसी, कनेक्टिविटी का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण आयाम है।हमारी पीपुल टू पीपुल कनेक्टिविटी, और आज इंटरनेशनल पैसेंजर्स टर्मिनल्स के उद्घाटन से कोलकाता-ढाका मैत्री एक्सप्रैस द्वारा जो आज शुरू हुई कोलकाता- खुलना बंधन एक्सप्रैस के यात्रियों को बहुत सुविधा होगी..।श्री मोदी ने कहा कि दोनों देश 1965 से पहले के रेल और सड़क संपर्क बहाल करने की दिशा में प्रयास कर रहे हैं।

दोनों प्रधानमंत्रियों ने कोलकाता में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय यात्री टर्मिनल का भी उद्घाटन किया,जहां मैत्री एक्सप्रेस और बंधन एक्सप्रैस के यात्रियों को आव्रजन और कस्टम क्लीयरेंस की नई सरल सेवा उपलब्ध होगी।

इस अवसर पर प्रधानमंत्री शेख हसीना ने कहा कि बंधन एक्सप्रैस रेल सेवा और कोलकाता का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय यात्री टर्मिनल शुरू होने से बांग्ला देश के लोगों का सपना साकार हुआ है।उन्होने कहा कि भारत की सहायता से बांग्लानदेश बंगबंधु शेख मुजीबुर रहमान के सोनारबांग्ला के स्वप्न को तेजी से पूरा कर सकेगा।मेघना नदी पर भारत की ऋण सहायता से बने दूसरे भैरव रेल पुल का भी आज संयुक्त रूप से उद्घाटन किया गया। इस पुल से ढाका और चटगांव तथा सिलहट के बीच का सफर कम समय में तय हो सकेगा।
