छत्तीसगढ़ के पुलिस महानिदेशक होंगे श्री अशोक जुनेजा

रायपुर 11 नवम्बर।छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार ने पुलिस महानिदेशक डी.एम.अवस्थी को हटाकर उनके स्थान पर अतिरक्त पुलिस महानिदेशक नक्सल आपरेशन अशोक जुनेजा को पुलिस महानिदेशक के पद पर पदस्थ किया हैं।

गृह विभाग द्वारा जारी आदेश के अनुसार श्री जुनेजा के पास नक्सल आपरेशन/एस.आई.बी एवं अतिरिक्त पुलिस महानिदेशक छत्तीसगढ़ सशस्त्र बल तथा एस.टीएफ का दायित्व बना रहेगा।निवर्तमान पुलिस महानिदेशक श्री अवस्थी को महानिदेशक राज्य पुलिस अकादमी के पद पर पदस्थ किया गया हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने दो दिन पूर्व गृह विभाग की समीक्षा बैठक में पुलिस महकमें के कामकाज पर कड़ी नाराजगी जताई थी,उसके बाद से ही लगभग तय हो गया था कि इसकी गाज पुलिस महानिदेशक पर गिरेंगी।श्री अवस्थी को लगभग तीन वर्ष पूर्व राज्य में सत्ता परिवर्तन के बाद पुलिस महानिदेशक के पद पर पदस्थ किया गया था।

श्री जुनेजा साफ सुथरी छवि के तेज तर्रार अधिकारी माने जाते हैं।उनके सामने पुलिस को छवि को दुरूस्त करने के साथ ही नक्सल मोर्चे पर भी बेहतर रणनीति से काम करने की चुनौती होंगी।

श्री जुनेजा ने पुलिस महानिदेशक के पद पर नियुक्ति के बाद मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल से आज शाम यहां उनके निवास कार्यालय में सौजन्य मुलाकात की।श्री बघेल ने उन्हें नवीन दायित्व के लिए बधाई और शुभकामनाएं दीं।
